Questions
Before you book.
The short version of what new clients ask most. Anything else, call (626) 217-2661 or write to trainwithmftc@gmail.com.
What happens at the assessment, and what does it cost?
Your assessment is a one-on-one session with Coach Peters covering your goals, your training history and a physical baseline, so your plan starts from where you actually are. Adults pay $100 and student athletes pay $75, charged when you book, with an email confirmation and a calendar invite. Families are assessed together: $75 for one child, or $125 for two or three assessed in one session.
Do I need training experience to get started?
No. Coach Peters has spent more than 30 years coaching everyone from youth athletes to seniors, and every session is scaled to your current level. The assessment exists exactly so your training starts at the right intensity for you, not for someone else.
How do plans and pricing work?
Monthly plans are priced by how many sessions you train each week, and every price on this page is read live from the same system that bills you, so what you see is what you pay. If you would rather ease in, single sessions, virtual sessions and group classes are all bookable without a plan.
Can I cancel my plan or reschedule a session?
Yes to both. Plans are month to month with no contracts, cancel anytime and you keep training through the end of the period you already paid for. The adult plans above each include reschedule credits every month (2 to 4 depending on your tier) and a cancellation window of 2 to 8 hours before a session, printed under every plan; athlete and family plans carry their own policy, shown with each tier on the Athletes page. Missing a session without notice carries a $10 to $20 no-show fee, depending on your plan.
Who do you train?
Everyone from youth athletes to seniors. Programs are performance-based and scaled to your stage of life and your goals, whether that is sport-specific development for a student athlete or strength and longevity training for an adult. Households with more than one training athlete have their own plan tiers, priced by athlete count.
Do you work with schools and teams?
Yes. Coach Peters consults with high school athletic programs across the San Gabriel Valley through Elite Team Consulting, and runs an annual coaches workshop in addition to individual training. The Teams page has the full service tiers.
Where are you located, and when can I train?
Marathon Fitness Training Center is at 360 S. Glendora Ave. Unit 2 in West Covina, CA, serving the greater San Gabriel Valley. Sessions run throughout the week on the live schedule you see when you book, and the Facility page lists the current weekly hours. Prefer to talk first? Call (626) 217-2661.
How do I get started?
Book your assessment through the MFTC app: it walks you through your profile, waivers and a short health questionnaire, then books your assessment with Coach Peters. After that she matches you to the plan that fits your goals, your schedule and your budget.
